  • Country Day Students Earn First Place in Math Competition

    Congratulations to James Gottsche and George Wu, two upper school students who earned first place as a team in a math competition at Brother Martin High School this past weekend, beating out many larger teams! They also both received honorable mentions on the individual test. Way to go, James and George!
  • Swimming Takes Eight Place in State Competition

    Congratulations to the boys' and girls' swim teams, who had an amazing season and both placed 8th in the state (out of 21 and 22 teams, respectively)! We are proud to announce the achievements of our swim team in the recent competition! We are awaiting the composite score, which has the potential to be in the top 5 in the state! Congratulations to our amazing swimmers!

  • Cross Country Team Takes First and Second Place in State

    Congratulations to the boys' cross country team, the 2023 Division IV Cross Country State Champions, and the girls' team, the 2023 Division IV Cross Country State Runner-Up!
    We are so proud of the seasons these teams have had. It's been a season full of personal records, new school records, and now, new trophies! Congratulations to all of our runners; we are so proud of you!
  • Volleyball Team Wins Eight Straight Championship Titles

    The Metairie Park Country Day Volleyball Team won its eighth straight LHSAA Division V volleyball state championship on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Cajundome in Lafayette. The #1 seeded team defeated #2 Westminster Christian in three sets (25-10, 25-11, 25-21). This victory secured the 14th state championship for the Cajuns in 15 seasons.

    Jane Gambel '25 was named Most Outstanding Player, with a match-high of 14 kills.

  • Country Day Earns Highest Honor Roll Designation For Advanced Placement Program

    The AP School Honor Roll, launched in October 2023, recognizes schools whose Advanced Placement (AP) delivers results for students while broadening access to AP programming. Country Day has earned the Platinum Designation on the 2023 AP School Honor Roll, the highest possible designation, succeeding the requirements in all three categories.
