US Fall Show - Peter and the Starcatcher

Metairie Park Country Day School presents our fall production of PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, a play by Rick Elice based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson and featuring music by Wayne Barker. PETER AND THE STARCATCHER serves as the origin story of two of the most iconic characters in children's literature: Peter Pan and Captain Hook. Two ships are tasked with taking two trunks—one containing secret cargo belonging to Queen Victoria and the other a decoy—to the mysterious island of Rundoon. But getting there won't be easy. Along the way are pirates, hurricanes, shipwrecks, more islands, flying cats, giant crocodiles, mermaids, and a magical substance called Starstuff that changes everyone who comes into contact with it. Our production weaves the whole world of this awfully big adventure with only 12 actors and a bare stage, providing a unique theatrical experience to excite the imagination. Our production features the acting talents of Charlie Antis ‘25, Emmy Casey ‘26, Dante DiCianni ‘25, Finley Freedman ‘26, Chloe Jones ‘25, Nicole Kazour ‘24, Clovis Layrisson ‘25, Mireille Luparello ‘26, Julia Mueller ‘24, Harry Odem ‘25, Jane Thompson ‘24, and Sophie Wyatt ‘24, with stage management by Minnie Mae August ‘24.
