A Visual Celebration of NOLA
Ms. Skehan's Art I students have been learning watercolor techniques and applying them to beloved scenes of New Orleans. They chose an image that represents why they love NOLA and used it as inspiration for two paintings, one realistic and one abstract. In the realistic painting, they practiced color mixing and glazing to achieve accurate color and value. In the abstract painting, they used watercolor techniques to build texture and pattern. The result is a visual celebration of our city, just in time for Carnival!
