Country Day's annual Evening of Design will be held tonight at 6:00 pm in the Lower School Atrium. The goal of the evening is to showcase student work that addresses or solves a problem, demonstrates an idea, or presents content through a different lens. Projects are often the result of design thinking, project-based or problem-based learning, computational thinking, or are created through the use of innovative technologies. Some highlights include projects across all grade levels from Pre-K-12th-grade, a pop-up preview performance of Mamma Mia, and designs and projects from our student entrepreneurs.
Students in 7th grade heard from a distinguished panel of professionals in the journalism field regarding news literacy. Panelists answered questions such as "How does the need to obtain ratings, advertising, shares, or likes impact your work?" or "As media producers, what do you feel you owe your audience?"
