Jessica Womack 2010

Jessica Womack 2010 graduated from Dartmouth with a major in Art History. From 2014-2015, she worked as a curatorial assistant at the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College, helping with the installation and programming for the exhibition Witness: Art and Civil Rights in the Sixties. For the past two years, she has the Program Coordinator for The Junior Associates at MoMA, where she was charged with putting on one event each week for MoMA members. These range
from walk-throughs of current exhibitions to trips to artists’ studios or private collectors’ homes. She has planned events with notable artists like Christian Marclay, Shirin Neshat, Rashaad Newsome, Alex Prager, Camille Henrot, Derrick Adams, and others. In the September, she will start a PhD program in the department of Art and Archaeology, where she will focus on themes of race, religion, and revolution in modern and contemporary art of Latin America and the Caribbean. She will travel to Cuba this July for a month-long independent research trip before moving to Princeton this fall.
