Poetry in Performance

Poetry in Performance is a presentation of the 6th grade Drama classes and their work exploring verse. Students perform a variety of pieces solo, in duets or trios, and together as a class. The selections range from classics by Longfellow, Whitman, and Poe, to contemporary poems by Lawrence Felinghetti, Joy Harjo, and Mary Oliver. There's even some Dr. Seuss thrown in to keep things playful. Each performance is unique, so catch them both if you can. The show starts at 4:00 p.m. and runs approximately 40 minutes. All are welcome.
