Special Invitation to February Parents meeting for Upper and Middle School Parents

On Wednesday, February 3, at 8:15 in the Boardroom, we will hear from representatives of The Pact, a new web-based program designed to prevent drug abuse through conversation guides and other resources.  The Pact -- Parents and Children Together -- is designed to assist parents in helping their children make good choices.

At Country Day, through our advisory system, in our assemblies and with the help of our Students Against Destructive Decisions organization, we frequently warn our students of the dangers that face them. As we head into Mardi Gras, we will discuss both drug and alcohol use as well as other safety concerns. I encourage you to join us on February 3 to hear about another approach that may be of value to you and your children. If you are not able to join us at that time, we are also allowing The Pact representatives to use the Weinmann Auditorium in March for an evening presentation that will be open to the public.  Also, please see the following article from Biz New Orleans for more information:  http://www.bizneworleans.com/Start-up-Successes/August-2015/Making-a-Pact/
I hope to see you at the February meeting.
