Louisiana All-State Orchestra - Country Day Students Selected
Congratulations to Kathryn Fagan, Alea Zone, and Munnawn Gill on their selection to the Louisiana All-State Orchestra! Kathryn was selected to be one of only 12 viola players in the state orchestra, while Alea and Munnawn were named to the First Violin section and are among the top 19 violinists in the state to achieve this placement. These musicians will travel to Baton Rouge in November to re-audition for rank order and participate in rehearsals and a performance at the Louisiana Music Educators Association Conference. This year they will perform music from West Side Story as well at Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5.
