The Country Day Fund

All contributions to the Country Day Fund directly support the current school year’s operating budget, ensuring that every aspect of Country Day is funded. Fund contributions help in various ways, including our ability to provide:

• Competitive salaries for our talented and dedicated faculty
• An advanced visual and performing arts program
• A full-spectrum athletic program, including our no-cut policy
• An enriched student life
• Advanced technology to foster innovation and learning
• An exceptional campus and facilities
• A culture rich in tradition

While the cost of a Country Day education is significant, tuition alone does not cover the entire cost of educating our students. The Country Day Fund plays a critical role by providing a subsidy that supports every student’s education. In fact, the Country Day Fund funded nearly 4% of the 2024-2025 operating budget.

The Country Day Fund receives contributions from a wide range of supporters, including alumni, parents, trustees, faculty, staff, grandparents, parents of alumni, foundations, corporations, and friends of the school.

Each person should contribute at a level appropriate for their circumstances. Every gift, regardless of size, is invaluable to the success of the Country Day Fund and is greatly appreciated.

They do! More than a quarter of the gifts made to the Country Day Fund are $100 or less.

Your participation in the Country Day Fund showcases overall support for the school, which is highly valued by external funding sources, including foundations. When considering grants for Country Day, foundations often inquire about alumni, parent, faculty, and trustee participation percentages. In essence, corporate and foundation giving begins with you! 

The answer is simple: now! Although the fiscal year ends on June 30, making an early gift or pledge (even if you don’t pay until later) helps reduce the school's mailing costs, builds giving momentum, and allows our volunteers to focus on engaging those who may be less aware of the significance of the Country Day Fund.

We encourage class reunions to set special Country Day Fund goals to honor the past and invest in Country Day's future. The spirit of participation and generosity instills a sense of pride in all who take part. Reunion Giving provides an exceptional opportunity for each class to contribute collectively, following in the footsteps of those who have supported Country Day before.

We recognize individuals who make annual gifts at the associate level or higher ($1,500+) for their remarkable leadership contributions. As a valued supporter, we invite Associates to join us for a special event in their honor. We hope you will join this leadership group by becoming a Country Day Associate.

We recognize individuals who generously contribute at the Leadership level or higher ($10,000+) each year. Leadership Donors are invited to a special dinner in the spring to honor their remarkable support of the Country Day Fund.
