The #3 Cajuns capped off an incredible season by securing the LHSAA Select Division III State Championship.
Their impressive end-of-season run began with a commanding 62-40 victory over Newman to clinch the District Tournament title. They then powered through the playoffs with decisive wins against Independence (73-40), Catholic New Iberia (57-50), and Dunham (54-43). The Cajuns defeated #1-ranked Calvary Baptist 59-56 in the finals, earning the school's 8th Boys' Basketball State Championship. This achievement places Country Day as 5th in all-time state rankings in Louisiana.
Under the leadership of Athletic Director and Boys' Basketball Head Coach Mike McGuire, this marks his remarkable 6th state championship, with 15 Final Four appearances during his tenure.
