Congratulations to senior Iskra Jurkovic, who has been named a National Merit Semifinalist in the 2027 competition.
Iskra is among 16,000 semifinalists named nationwide from the Class of 2027, a group representing less than 1% of the 1.2 million high school juniors who took the PSAT in 2025. Roughly 230 Louisiana students qualified, including about 125 from the New Orleans region.
Semifinalists now advance in the running for approximately 6,700 National Merit scholarships worth nearly $26 million, to be awarded in the spring.
Congratulations, Iskra. We are so proud of you!
