Country Day Earns Highest Honor Roll Designation for Advanced Placement Program
The AP School Honor Roll, launched in October 2023, recognizes schools whose Advanced Placement (AP) delivers results for students while broadening access to AP programming. For the second year in a row, Country Day has earned the Platinum Designation on the 2024 AP School Honor Roll, the highest possible designation, succeeding the requirements in all three categories.
Class of 2024
- College Culture: 86% took at least one AP exam before graduation
- College Credit: 73% earned college credit by earning an AP exam score of 3 or higher
- College Optimization: 25% took a total of 5 APs before graduation, with at least 1 taken in grade 9 or 10
Country Day offers 19 AP courses in various subjects. Students who take an AP course must take the AP examination. In the 2023-2024 school year, 112 students took 266 AP exams. Of the 266 exams, 89% had scores of 3 or better. After the 2024 AP exams were completed, Country Day recognized 61 AP Scholars, with 27 AP Scholars with Distinction, 9 AP Scholars with Honor, and 25 AP Scholars.
