Chloe Jones a QuestBridge National Match Winner

Metairie Park Country Day School senior Chloe Jones will attend Macalester College, a top liberal arts college located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, as a recipient of the QuestBridge National College Match scholarship. Founded in 1994, QuestBridge partners with over 52 top-tier universities around the nation, such as Amherst, Columbia, Duke, Johns Hopkins, Pomona, UChicago, and Yale, to provide high-achieving students with full four-year scholarships.

Chloe, a student at Country Day since 6th grade, is an accomplished athlete, musician, actor, and student. As a leader in the classroom and the community for many years, Chloe is recognized academically as an AP Scholar with Distinction and a member of the National Honor Society. She has represented Country Day in several subjects at district and state literary rally competitions and earned an honorable mention on the National Spanish Exam.

In 2023, Chloe was one of 52 scholars to attend the highly selective Carleton Liberal Arts Experience, a week-long summer program for high school students that explores African American history, identity, and contemporary culture through the framework of a liberal arts education. In her junior year, Chloe received the Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award, which honors two significant pioneers of social justice and recognizes a student’s commitment to understanding and addressing difficult social issues. Her presence on the Advisory and DEIB Councils at Country Day has allowed Chloe to represent our school at Unity Day and the NAIS Student Diversity Leadership Conference.

The QuestBridge College Match is highly competitive and the application process is long and intense. This year, over 25,500 students applied for these distinguished scholarships, and 7,288 were selected as QuestBridge finalists. Of the finalists, 2,627 were admitted to a partner university and, like Chloe, will receive a guaranteed full four-year scholarship. Each scholarship covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, housing and food, books and supplies, and travel expenses.
