Swimmers Huddle at State Meet

The Swimming Program is experiencing a period of remarkable growth and success. Under the leadership of Head Coach Shawn O’Neil, our team has expanded significantly over the past two seasons. In 2023, we had 22 swimmers competing, marking a milestone for our program. The boys' team finished as District Runners-Up for the first time in recent history, while the girls' team secured a strong third-place finish, and three of our swimmers earned All-District honors.

Our focus on fostering a supportive and dynamic environment has been key to our success. We strive to develop not only skilled swimmers but also well-rounded individuals who embody the values of teamwork, perseverance, and enjoyment. Our team is a close-knit group of student-athletes who work hard and have fun, creating a positive and motivating atmosphere for all members.

Looking forward to the 2024 season, we are excited to have 20 of our 22 swimmers returning, and we hope to continue adding to our growing team. The sense of community and dedication within our program is stronger than ever. With a shared vision of excellence and the unwavering support of our community, we are poised for even greater achievements in the seasons to come.

The 2023 season was a standout year for swimming. After qualifying four swimmers for the LHSAA State Championship Meet in 2022, that number impressively increased to 15 in 2023. Both the girls' and boys' teams finished in the top 8 at State, with the girls' freestyle relay team taking home bronze medals. These achievements highlight the significant progress our team has made and the bright future ahead.
