Boys' Tennis Team at Regionals 2023-2024

The boys’ tennis program boasts a legacy of excellence, with state championships in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2014. Recently, the program has been experiencing a resurgence under Head Coach Buckner Heebe '19 and Assistant Coach Chep Morrison. With the invaluable support of team coordinators Robyn Schwarz and Amanda Whalen, our tennis program is thriving once again. Their leadership has injected new energy and optimism into the team, fostering a culture of determination and excellence.

With most of our players returning next season and new talent rising, the team is well-positioned to compete for state championships again. The positive momentum generated by our recent successes is a strong foundation for continued growth and achievement.

Hereford and Sinnot Strategize at State

In 2024, the boys’ tennis team achieved significant milestones, placing first at regionals and qualifying all its players for the State Championships in Monroe. The team finished third in the state, with standout performances from the doubles team of JoJo Hereford and Porter Sinnott, who reached the semi-finals, and singles quarter-finalist John Hereford, along with doubles quarter-finalists Charlie Kazour and Cole Koppel. These achievements highlight the talent and potential within our program.
