Baseball
The baseball program has a history of developing student-athletes into outstanding individuals on and off the field. Since its inception, the program has prioritized comprehensive and individualized growth, ensuring each player's journey is unique and fulfilling. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, our players receive tailored training that addresses their specific positions, needs, goals, and current skill levels. Whether welcoming newcomers who have never stepped on a diamond or nurturing talent that advances to collegiate play, our program instills in each athlete the importance of giving their best effort while we provide them valuable tools to develop their skills.
The team practices and competes on our dedicated field at Pontiff Playground, conveniently located just off the Country Day campus. The spring season is exciting for our players as they hone their skills and bond as a team. The strength of our baseball program lies in our unwavering commitment to these five pillars. They drive our team’s success and contribute to the holistic development of our players.
The team had a strong performance in the 2023-24 season, finishing third in the competitive 10-2A District. Highlights include Sinnot Bland ’24, Owen Marchal ’24, and Cam Rizzi ’24 earning spots on the All-District First Team, while Maddox Moss ’24 made the All-District Second Team.
Our players’ dedication and hard work reflect the spirit of Country Day, and our recent graduates showcase the program's success. For instance, Owen Marchal ’24 has signed to play at Centenary College of Louisiana, demonstrating the top-notch talent we nurture.
