Every child’s education is a partnership between the school and the family — that’s why it’s important for you to get to know Country Day and for Country Day to get to know you.

Filling out the inquiry form helps us connect you with a member of our admission team who can explain how Country Day can partner with your family to meet your child’s educational needs.

Inquiry Form

The best way to get to know us is to experience Country Day firsthand. We offer group visits on select dates, and you can schedule individual visits. Visitors can explore our campus, attend classes, and engage with future classmates and teachers.

During their visit, students applying to our elementary program will visit a classroom and participate in age-appropriate activities. To streamline the application process, students entering Grades 5 and above will be asked to complete an interview and writing sample on their visit day.

Assessments

Complete any required assessments and observations.

Country Day administers age-appropriate assessments to all applicants, outlined by grade level below:

Pre-K and Kindergarten

Preschool Visit: An important part of Country Day being able to partner with you is observing your child “in action” in an environment they find familiar and secure. A member of our admission team will request to visit your child’s preschool as part of our developmental screening.

Playdate: Another important part of the assessment is understanding how your child reacts to a new environment. As part of our process, applicants for Pre-K and Kindergarten will be scheduled for a playdate on our campus.

Grades 1-4

Grades 5-12

Middle and upper school years for students build upon their elementary education while preparing them for higher education. Part of the application process for students entering Grades 5-12 includes submitting standardized test scores. Applicants who do not have current Educational Review Board (ERB) or Fall PSAT test scores will be required to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). We administer this test at Country Day on several dates throughout the year, or you can take it at another location. The ISEE does charge a fee for administering and scoring the test; you’ll want to register at least three weeks before the testing date to avoid an additional fee.

You will submit your application through our enrollment portal. To make the application process as smooth as possible, we ask that you please complete and submit your application by the recommended application deadline of December 1, 2026.

Tuition Assistance

Fill out a tuition assistance application.

We believe that having a diverse community of learners expands all of our horizons and adds meaningful perspectives to our community. To fulfill our mission of fostering a diverse community, which includes students from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, we offer a need-based financial aid program. If your family is interested in being considered for tuition assistance, please complete our tuition assistance application.

To apply for our need-based financial aid program, parents must submit all required materials by January 30, 2027. Country Day partners with School and Student Services (SSS) for the financial aid application process. You’ll submit the required documents directly to SSS and an additional questionnaire directly to us. Once we have received all your required information, our Tuition Assistance Committee will award an amount based on SSS’s recommendation and the committee’s review of your file. Because our tuition assistance funds are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, it is important to meet all application deadlines.

The deadline for the tuition assistance application is January 30, 2027.
