Visual & Performing Arts
Students carry visual and performing art electives each semester. We hope that frequent and deep exposure allows students to find their strength and that they will follow this interest in Upper School. Options include Drawing and Painting, Metal Arts, Ceramics, Photography, Woodworking, Chorus, Band, Orchestra, Drama, and Music Explorations.
Athletics
Students enjoy a robust physical education and competitive team sports program. Typically, about 80% of our middle school students choose to join one of the competitive athletic teams. P.E. is offered four days a week and includes team games, fitness-oriented activities, and discussion of health-related topics. If middle school students choose to participate in team sports, they practice during their P.E. block, which is the last period of the day. They continue to practice after school as needed.
