Science

Through hands-on STEM activities, Pre-K students experience challenging and fun projects that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making by incorporating science, technology, engineering, and math.  

Critical thinking, creative problem solving, and scientific vocabulary are used to teach and understand deeper concepts, and various earth, life, and physical science topics are introduced. 

Students make real-world connections, collaborate, and conduct classwork to understand and identify scientific phenomena in our everyday lives.

Topics in 5th grade revolve around properties and types of matter, compounds and mixtures, chromatography, atoms, chemistry, electricity, and the Periodic Table of Elements. Cooperative and collaborative learning are used in experiments, activities, group projects, and presentations throughout the year.
