At Country Day, we strive to make your application process both informative and enjoyable. The Admission office aims to work collaboratively with all families in order to provide a full understanding of our School and educational philosophy.
We strongly encourage you to schedule a campus tour in order to see the school setting first hand, even before you complete the application form. Personal visits are highly recommended in order to discuss your child's individual interests and needs.
The next step is to complete the application form and send it to the Admission Office.
For our pre-kindergarten and kindergarten applicants, once we have received your application, we will mail you a letter detailing the next steps in the process. These include having your child tested by an independent educational tester; providing us additional information on your child; and bringing your child to participate in our Pre-K Play Dates or our Kindergarten Get-Togethers. We will also visit your child at his or her current pre-school and request a recommendation from the pre-school teachers.
For applying students in grades 1 through 5, we recommend that the student visit the School as well. All applicants must be tested by an independent educational tester, and we will request a recommendation form from the child's current teacher. Children applying for grades 2 through 5 also will take an achievement test conducted at ISAS schools and must send the current school records after the first semester.
Students applying to grades 6 through 12 are invited to visit their prospective grade levels to gain a direct understanding of the Country Day experience. We will request transcripts, recommendations, and the results of standardized tests from the student's current school. Your admission associate will provide more details about additional testing.
Country Day admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the School. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin or disability in violation of state or federal law or regulation in the administration of its educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
