is named National Merit Scholarship Finalist
and is a College-Sponsored Merit Scholarship Winner


The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has recognized Metairie Park Country Day School senior Rosalie Haug as a Finalist. Rosalie also is the recipient of a college sponsored Merit Scholarship from LSU.

Rosalie Haug has distinguished herself in a national competition of 1.5 million students from over 22,000 high schools. The PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test taken during the junior year serves as the initial screen of program entrants. Among the 1.5 million entrants in the program, 16,000 students are recognized as SemiFinalists. Representing less than one percent of each state’s high school seniors, SemiFinalists are the highest-scoring program entrants in each state.

is named National Achievement Scholarship Finalist


The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has recognized Metairie Park Country Day School senior Jessica Womack as a Finalist. Jessica will attend Dartmouth College.

Jessica Womack has distinguished herself in a national competition of more than 160,000 high school juniors who requested consideration in the 2010 National Achievement Scholarship Program when they took the 2008 Preliminary sat/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (psat/nmsqt®). SemiFinalists were designated within geographic regions and are the highest-scoring program entrants in the states that make up each region. 1,600 Black American high school seniors were designated SemiFinalists in the 46th annual National Achievement Scholarship Program.
