In 2002-2003, the faculty, staff, parents, students, alumni, and board of trustees of Country Day wrote an ambitious strategic plan that calls for increased academic excellence and a strengthened school community. Country Day has a history of producing graduates who succeed in colleges all across the United States, but the faculty, believing that life in the twenty-first century demands a deeper, more rigorous, and more thoughtful approach to education than the traditional model, saw a need to take its students beyond present practices into greater challenge.
